Plain folk
Plain folks is a type of propaganda where the media presents a common person so that the majority of the people can strongly relate to the purpose of the cause. This poster shows an average woman supporting the nation. The objective of this poster is to show the citizens that anyone is capable of helping the country. It is notable how the poster does not include a picture of the president nor a celebrity, but an average citizen helping out. This suggests that anyone, even normal citizens, can assist the nation during World War II. To sum up, by using an ordinary citizen as the subject of the poster, plain folks was used to encourage more support from the people.
